Today, a Roadshow presentation organized by the State Assets Management Agency was held in Nukus, the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The event has traditionally been held for the sixth consecutive year.
During the event, entrepreneurs, investors and the general public were provided with detailed information on state assets and land plots being privatized in the region, as well as new opportunities being created.
The Roadshow was attended by Sohibjon Murodov, Director of the State Assets Management Agency; Bekzod Usmonov, Director of JSC “Organization of Electronic Online Auctions”; Ilhom Khalpayev, Director of the Center for Organizing the Efficient Use of Empty Facilities; Maqsud Rajapov, Head of the Karakalpakstan Regional Department of the Agency; heads of territorial organizations of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; more than 250 entrepreneurs and investors; and representatives of civil society institutions in the region.
During the presentation, the State Assets Management Agency provided information on ongoing efforts to privatize state assets and land plots, ensure the efficient use of vacant properties, promote entrepreneurship, implement investment projects on their basis, and increase budget revenues.
In his speech, Sohibjon Murodov, Director of the Agency, noted:
“In 2025–2026, 2,856 land plots with a total area of 184.99 hectares, which had been held under permanent use, lease and lifetime inheritable possession, were privatized by citizens and entrepreneurs for a total of UZS 9.5 billion. As a result, citizens and entrepreneurs gained the opportunity to use these land plots as collateral or sell them in parts.”
It should also be noted that during 2025, 199 state assets worth UZS 129 billion were put up for auction, of which 89 assets were sold for UZS 52 billion. Currently, a total of 90 state assets worth UZS 133 billion are available at auction.
In addition, 1,035 land plots with a total area of 81 hectares were sold through electronic online auctions in 2025. The electronic online sale of land plots with a total area of 874.6 hectares is currently ongoing.
The event also featured information on new opportunities introduced under the 2026 Privatization Programme approved by Presidential Decree No. PD-177.
In particular, when acquiring state assets and non-agricultural land plots, buyers are required to make an advance payment of 15%, while the remaining amount may be paid in interest-free instalments within the periods established by law.
In addition, for state-owned real estate in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a 25% discount on the contract value is available if the full purchase price is paid within six months, by 1 January 2027.
These opportunities will provide important support to entrepreneurs and investors in implementing new projects and expanding their businesses.
